Chemistry and drying in the cold
Most cleaning products are formulated for use at ambient temperature and become noticeably less effective as the temperature drops. Dilution behaves differently, dwell times lengthen and some products thicken to the point of being difficult to apply. Using a standard warehouse routine in a chilled space produces a poor result that is easy to mistake for poor effort.
Drying is the larger problem. Water applied in a cold room does not evaporate; it sits, and in a freezer environment it becomes ice, which is a serious hazard. The method therefore has to include mechanical removal of every drop applied, using squeegees and wet vacuums, and the plan should limit the water volume accordingly from the outset. Recording the product selected and the temperature it was chosen for is worthwhile, since a change of product later can undo the whole method.
